Best Friends in Avon is committed to helping local rescue groups find forever, loving homes for unwanted, neglected and abandoned animals. We do this in a number of ways. One of the things we do is board a couple of their dogs for them when they are in need of foster homes. Right now we have 2 rescue dogs from Double Dog Rescue staying with us. Aldwin is a handsome 6 year old chocolate Labrador Retriever. And Lila is a beautiful, energetic 2 year old black Labrador cross. Misty is almost 15 years old and doesn't act a day over 2! She is a yellow lab and has been coming to Best Friends for many years. She is starting to slow down a bit but she still loves to go out for her nature walks and sniff all the scents. She is very curious and loves to watch all the daily activities in the boarding area.
