Rescue Dogs from Double Dog Rescue!

 We have a couple of dogs from Double Dog Rescue staying with us until they find their forever, loving homes or until a foster home opens up. Ceecee is a 5 year old Boxer cross. She is very sweet and calm. Roxane is a 9 year old Rottweiler. She is also very sweet and loving and very small for her breed. Sammy is a 12 1/2 year old Yellow Lab.  He has been comming to Best Friends for many years and still loves to visit.  His favorite activities are playtime and naptime!  He loves getting lots of love and attention from his best friends and he enjoys eating his carrots for dessert.

Pet Rescue Event!!

We are hosting our 4th annual pet rescue event on May 22nd from 10am-3pm for 9 local rescue groups.  Our main fund raiser is a tea cup auction with lots of great items from local businesses.  We also have games/contests, food, D.J., pet photography, pet related vendors, search and rescue demos, canine good citizen testing, and much more.  This is a free, fun outdoor event for the whole family on our property at 60 Harris Rd. Schaughnessy is a 14 year old Lhasa Apso.  She has been visiting us for many years.  She loves to go out to explore on her nature walks but she really loves to cuddle with Jen, the manager.  She gets so excited to visit that she starts whining in the car when her mommy pulls into the parking lot.  Call today to schedule your best friend's next boarding stay.

Rescue Dogs from Double Dog Rescue!

We have a couple of dogs from Double Dog Rescue staying with us until they can find forever, loving homes.  The puppy in the upper left is Sammie and he is about 4 months old. He is actually being fostered now in Plainville. He is probably a lab/chessie cross and very playful!  Dutch is in the upper right corner. He is a Newfie/Golden cross and about 2 years old.  He is very loving and thinks he's a 50 lb. lap dog.  Buddy is probably a Boston Terrier/Boxer cross. He is in the bottom left. He is very sweet and has tons of energy. He is also about 2 years old.  And Mikey is in the bottom right. He is a lhasa/terrier cross. Abby has been coming to Best Friends since 2008. She is a 5 year old black Lab. Abby loves to run around and explore in the play area during her playtimes. And she is a real cuddle bug. She loves to give hugs and kisses and get lots of love and attention. And when she is on a leash, she prefers to hold onto it too and guide us along.
